چکیده
After the COVID-19 pandemic, universities moved towards online and Blended Learning (BL) modes to offer greater curricular flexibility. Yet, recent research shows that students have difficulties regulating their learning strategies adapt different BL entails, which mixes face-to-face with activities taking place in contexts environments. Prior work on Self-Regulated (SRL) has explored use of dashboard-based scaffolds for supporting students’ strategies. However, most existing solutions are designed settings (i.e., MOOCs), disregarding teachers’ role support they need monitor promote SRL. This paper presents design process followed transforming a tool SRL MOOCs into Moodle plugin BL. Following design-based methodological approach, we describe all phases conducted identifying appropriate indicators visualizations practices, implementing evaluating first prototype. Supporting Self-Regulated Learning in a Blended Course
This study investigates the practice and development of selfregulated learning abilities in a blended course for trainee teachers, where traditional, face-to-face sessions alternate with online collaborative modules. Based on data emerged from an end-of-course questionnaire and on the analysis of the online interactions, the study suggests that the potential of the online CSCL component of the ...
متن کاملAn Analysis of Self-Regulatory Learning Strategies in Secondary School Blended Learning Atmospheres: A Synthesis Research
This synthesis research has aimed to identify the features of blended learning environments which support self-regulatory learning strategies in high school students. The statistical population was derived from five foreign databases, consisting of 128 articles from 2017 to 2020. The data obtained were integrated using Sandelowski & Barroso's meta-synthesis method (2005). STROBE Checklist was u...
متن کاملassessing metacognitive awareness and learning strategies as positive predictors in promoting l2 learners’ reading comprehension
the purpose of this thesis was to investigate how differently metacognitive, cognitive, and social/affective strategies affect l2 learners’ reading comprehension. to this end, the study employed a quasi-experimental design with a placement test as a proficiency test to find the homogeneity of groups. three classes were randomly selected as the experimental groups (n =90), and each class was tau...
Promoting self-regulated learning in web-based learning environments
Self-regulated learning with the Internet or hypermedia requires not only cognitive learning strategies, but also specific and general meta-cognitive strategies. The purposes of the Study2000 project, carried out at the TU Dresden, were to develop and evaluate authoring tools that support teachers and students in web-based learning and instruction. This paper presents how the authoring tools of...
متن کاملPromoting Self-Regulated Learning Skills in Agent-based Learning Environments
We have developed computer environments that support learning by teaching, concept mapping, scaffolding, and the use of self regulated learning (SRL) skills by social interactions with virtual agents. More specifically, students teach a computer agent, Betty, and can monitor her progress by asking her questions and getting her to take quizzes. The system provides SRL support via dialog-embedded...
